  • In reference to the discussion on keeping separate different areas of your life in terms of web 2.0 many platforms have features to support this already. Facebook, for example, allows you to drill down to specific access rights on a per-"friend" basis. Hopefully those types of features will continue to expand -- it'd be great to see group creation paired with rights assigning down the road!

  • Jed, thanks for that insight. To tell you the truth, I haven't dug into the individualized permissions in facebook that much. I have used the groups feature to share specific albums that I only want family members to see (pictures of kids etc). Maybe we can delve into how facebook handles privacy in a future episode.
